Mozilla has continued their rapid release updates for the popular Firefox Web browser by bringing the application up to version 23. The latest version brings mostly minor changes and features for developers, but includes some bug fixes and new features for users as well.

Some of the major changes in the application include the removal of the enable JavaScript checkbox, the removal of the load images automatically checkbox, a modified Firefox logo, the ability to switch to a specific search provider through the whole browser, and more.

Security and stability was also focused on in this update, as the browser brings mixed content blocking to help prevent man-in-the-middle attacks and eavesdropping on HTTPS pages. Many other security fixes also help to keep your information safe from intruders that want to steal your personal data.

Developers now have more tools to work with, such as a new network monitor in the toolbox, social share functionality, a global browser console, and more.

Minor changes should call for minor update numbers. This should be like version 10.
