Following yesterday's incremental update to Mavericks, Apple on Wednesday rolled out a minor update for iTunes.

This morning, Apple pushed out iTunes 11.1.5, which serves up a small fix for device connection issues that have been irking some users. In addition to this particular bug fix, the update also enhances compatibility with iBooks.

According to the published release notes, this update "fixes a problem that may cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly when a device is connected."

As referenced above, iTunes 11.1.5 also “improves compatibility with iBooks on OS X Mavericks.”

Today's update is only the second iTunes update we've seen since November 2013. January's minor update (iTunes 11.1.4) brought with it a refreshed Wish List and new languages.

I keep getting installation errors. I've never had any issues before, so I'm not sure why I am now.

I don't use iTunes anymore for anything other than transferring things to my iPod and iPhone. VLC Player works nicely for video and foobar2000 is fantastic once you set it up to your liking.

This update seems to work fine for me.

Not to nitpick, but isn't that iTunes 10 logo? iTunes 11 has white musical note.
