Since it's release, Apple's new Mac Pro has shown long and drawn out shipping estimates. Just recently, the shipping estimates improved to 3-5 weeks; however, Apple's Web site has just been updated once again to display a shipping estimate of 2-3 weeks.

The 2-3 week estimate is applicable to both the high-end and low-end model of the Mac Pro. Configuring the machines with custom options does not appear to change the estimated shipping availability.

In their stock forms, the low-end Mac Pro comes with a quad-core 3.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5 processor, 12GB of 1866MHz DDR3 memory, dual AMD FirePro D300 video cards, and 256GB PCIe-based flash storage for the price tag of $2999. The higher-end Mac Pro comes with a 6-core 3.5GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 processor, 16GB of 1866MHz DDR3 memory, dual AMD FirePro D500 video cards, and 256GB PCIe-based flash storage for the price tag of $3999. Further custom configurations will increase the prices.

For those interested in making the order, the machine is available online on Apple's Web site.
