A minor update was pushed out recently by Apple for its iTunes media suite. The update fixes a podcast-related bug and other stability improvements. The first beta of OS X 10.9.4 were provided to developers and the beta comes only a few short weeks after OS X 10.9.3 was opened and available to the public. iTunes 11.2.2 is available for download in the Mac App Store or right from Apple for OS X and Windows. Apple has stated that the update fixes an issue where certain podcast episodes would download unexpectedly.

Along with fixing the podcast issue, iTunes 11.2.2 is supposed to have several stability improvements as well. The update comes less than two weeks after iTunes 11.2.1 was released that addressed an issue with the ‘/Users’ folder in OS X 10.9.3. The Mac operating system will be receiving another bug fix and update for Mavericks users as the company is testing OS X 10.9.4 with developers. However, regular consumers can opt into Apple’s Beta Seed Program and also test the pre-release software for free if they choose to.

Not much is known about OS X 10.9.4 yet, but it is unlikely to have any major updates or additions to Mavericks. OS X 10.9.3 was released just two weeks ago with enhanced support for high resolution 4-k monitors. The next major OS X 10.10 release is expected to unveil during next week’s WWDC starting Monday.
