On Monday, alongside the release of iOS 7.1.2 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad (which can be jailbroken with Pangu, by the way), Apple also released OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 to the general public as an update for all machines that can run OS X Mavericks.

OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 adds some general improvements to the operating system such as a fix for a problem that could cause the machine to be unable to re-join a known wireless network, a fix for issues relating to waking up the machine from sleep mode, and an updated version of Safari (dubbed version 7.0.5). Other improvements include some security, reliability, and stability patches.

The update is recommended for all Mac OS X Mavericks users and will require a reboot upon installing, so it is recommended that you save all of your progress with whatever you might be doing before you go through with the installation of the update.

The update can be had from the Updates tab in the Mac App Store right now. You can also go up to the Apple button on your Menu Bar and access "Software Update" from there.
