Basketball player Kobe Bryant is already setting up life outside of the sport he’s currently playing, by cold calling business entrepreneurs for advice. On the list of those he has spoken with includes Apple’s very own famed chief officer Jony Ive. According to Bloomberg, he sat down and spoke about what he had learned from Apple and how the day with Jony Ive went. Bryant noted that he is not someone who’s afraid to ask silly or simple questions in order to gain some insight. Bryant said:

I went up to Apple, spent the day there talking with Jony and just kind of picking his brain about products and things like that, what makes them who they are and why. Very, very curious about that and understanding that.
Ive said that others he has spoken with include Arianna Huffington, Oprah Winfrey and Nike Chief Executive Mark Parker. NBA star Kobe Bryant is looking to make more investments on top of the millions he invested on sports drink BodyArmor. At the young age of 35, Bryant is already looking to make his next move, as he may be retiring soon after only playing six games last season due to injuries. Bryant has noted that he has many similarities with what he does on the basketball court and how Apple produces new items:

It's no different than building a basketball game. You start with where you want your game to be, what would make your game most unstoppable or hard to deal with, and now you work backwards from there and you start building it one piece at a time, one move at a time, one counter at a time.
The L.A. Lakers five-time champion revealed that Ive was also interested in his basketball mind when they spoke with one another. He was apparently interested in how Bryant studies, views, and prepares an upcoming game.
