A sixth beta of OS X Yosemite and Xcode 6 have been released to developers by Apple recently. At this time, no new iOS 8 beta has been released. This OS X Yosemite has build number 14A329f and can be downloaded by developers from the Mac App Store. A new update with Xcode 6 beta 6 was also released and can be tested by developers. It was only 2 weeks ago that Apple released the fifth betas.

Previously, iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite were always released simultaneously, but this time, iOS 8 did not receive a new update. Sources who know OS X Yosemite have noted that more built-in wallpapers are in the system, a new ‘do not disturb’ for the Notification center has been added, addition of a new taskbar battery icon, as well as a new system preferences screen are all included in the new operating system.

It's safe to assume that since the Cupertino-based company is continuing to release beta versions of OS X Yosemite, the Mac OS software is likely to be released after that of the iPhone and iPad.

Is the "Apps Using Significant Energy" new? If you have a laptop click on your battery and it's a new list. Kind of neat.
