Apple is planning a special event for September 9th where they are expected to release Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite and iOS 8 to the general public after a long Summer in beta. Apple is also expected to unveil the new iPhone 6, as well as other updated hardware.

Apple on Thursday updated its Web site to display a page counting down to the September 9th event. The page confirms that Apple will be live-streaming the event over the Internet so that those unable to go to the event will be able to watch it from the comfort of their own homes.

Apple's slogan for this page is, "Live video from our special event will be right here. And so will a whole lot more."

The event is set to begin at 10 A.M. PDT on September 9th. A calendar link is included at the bottom of the Web page so that Mac OS X users can add the event to their Calendar application. It will be synced via iCloud to all of your iOS devices and other Macs as well.
