Although Apple's first smartwatch -- Apple Watch -- was unveiled earlier this month, we remain months away from getting them on our wrists. Between now and the product's inevitable launch, it's a safe bet that rumors will abound with regard to the details Apple has left out of the new product description to date.

On Monday, the latest buzz to emerge around Apple Watch brings attention to the smart device's RAM. If the current scuttlebutt is correct, Apple Watch packs 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage.

Today's report comes courtesy of Timothy Arcuri from Cowen and Company, who is basing his insight on information gleaned directly from the supply chain in charge of producing Apple Watch in the months ahead.

For now, Apple will only say that Apple Watch will be released in early 2015. While we know for certain that Apple Watch will start at $349, we also know that multiple versions of the watch (with different bands and, presumably, storage capacity variations) will be available with different price tags attached.

Well..the phone just got 1GB of RAM last year..so I am thinking 512MB should do it.

That's a ton of RAM for such a tiny device. That's as much as an iPod Touch 5.

I don't think it needs that much RAM. It's not going to be doing a lot.
