Apple recently sent out emails to developers informing them of an upcoming iTunes Connect maintenance update. According to the email, Apple’s iTunes Connect developer portal will be taken offline for roughly 6 hours starting at 6:00AM Pacific on Sunday October 26th. The downtime is likely due to routine maintenance.

Much like other iTunes Connect shutdowns, developers won’t have access to the portal while content delivery services are to be taken offline for a short period of time. Those of you who didn’t already know, iTunes Connect is a tool used by developers to manage apps sold through the App Store including updates, pricing changes and description modifications.

The Cupertino California company typically schedules a major iTunes Connect winter closure every year which traditionally occurs around the end of December. During this time period, app price changes and other App Store modifications are delayed.

We'll have to wait and see what changes Apple makes to iTunes Connect once it comes back up.
