Rumors were circulating the web last month claiming that Apple would stop selling Fitbit accessories in their Retail Stores. Proving these rumors true, Fitbit products have indeed already been removed from Apple’s Online Store as of Friday. It has also been reported that Apple has gone ahead and started removing the products from their Retail Stores as well. The Fitbit Flex, Fitbit One, and Fitbit’s tracking band will no longer be purchasable at Apple locations (online and in store). With the removal, the new Charge HR, Fitbit Charge, and Surge will not be found in the stores or online either.

It is currently unclear as to why the Cupertino-based company decided to do this or what happened between the two. One possible reason could be that Fitbit announced that they didn’t have any plans on integrating with Apple’s HealthKit. Although Fitbit products can no longer be found at Apple, other tracking products for fitness like the Nike Fuelband and UP by Jawbone are still being sold by the company. Who knows, the removal of Fitbit could also be due to the similarities it has with Apple’s upcoming Apple Watch features.

If they don't integrate with the HealthKit, no business being in the stores. Why would you? They certainly don't need Fitbit to help with sales, etc.
