Just a few days ago, we reported that Apple and Tesla were going for the same employees and that many ex-Apple workers have gone over to Tesla to work. Now a new report from Business Insider is claiming that the Cupertino-based company is working on a project related to a vehicle. An unknown Apple employee had apparently told Business Insider that the project is “too exciting to pass up” for future employees and therefore many workers from the electric carmaker are moving over to Apple to take part in the big project.

The Apple employee also told Business Insider that they “think it will change the landscape and give Tesla a run for its money." This was all the information the employee had given, so it is unclear as to exactly what he/she is referring to. Business Insider suggested that the company may be working on a new in-car function, but we’re not sure how exactly that would compete with Tesla as they make actual cars. The only way Apple could give Tesla a run for its money is if they are working on a full-fledged car as well. But we’re also not sure if Apple would actually take part in exploring this market, as it is not their area of expertise.

Previous reports were saying that Apple was offering $250,000 bonuses as well as a 60% salary increase to sign their targets. What are your thoughts on this matter? Let us know in the comments below.

When you have billions in the bank anything can become your area of expertise. Clearly they think they can wave money at the problem and hire who they need. More power to them. Sounds exciting.

This combined with that self-driving car with an Apple logo a few days ago sounds quite interesting indeed.

With all the money they have why can't they hire someone to fix the bugs in iOS? There's still bugs like the screen flashing previous screen on safari and apps that that been plaguing iOS since ios7.
