It has been recently reported by 9to5Mac that those interested in trying out the Apple Watch on April 10th should definitely make a reservation the day of, or even pre-order it online. It was noted that due to all the different Apple Watch models, inventory of the smartwatch will be constrained at launch and the company is giving priority to those with reservations. This means that those who plan on just walking in will have a very slim chance in getting their hands on a wearable device.

9to5Mac noted that a source told them to “treat launch day as if there will be no walk-in stock.” We suppose even if the stores have walk-in stock, the one you want specifically may not necessarily be available. Inventory will also most likely be different depending on the location of the store, but it was also noted that China would have more stock in store.

Those who have not already heard, appointments will be 15-minute increments for customers to check out the wearable device and choose whether or not to preorder it. As for the most expensive Apple Watch Edition, appointments can be 30 minutes long. The smartwatch will be available in Canada, France, Japan, Germany, U.K., and the U.S. on launch day.
