The Retina is more powerful and has dedicated graphics processing. Max out the RAM through. Photoshop especially will take about as much RAM as you have.
Both models come with SSDs, so there is reason not to restart often. It's quick!
Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!
Sorry, I was mistaken. The 13" MacBook Pros and Retinas don't have dedicated graphics cards. They have Intel HD Graphics 4000 integrated processing only. The 15" have dedicated cards.
If you are going for a 13" MacBook Pro, putting 16 GB RAM and an SSD would be sweet. If you do lots of work in Photoshop, the 15" would be better, having the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.
I have a 15" MacBook Pro. I removed my DVD drive, moved my stock hard drive to the DVD bay and installed an SSD. I also installed 16 GB RAM.
Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!
