So I downloaded CIV IV and its expansions for Mac Via steam. But when I go to play any of the Beyond the Sword content it freezes on me and then I get a graphical glitch in the game that I don't get when playing the regular version of Civ. Anyone know how to resolve this issue? Below is a video I made of the issue (screen capture on voila) ....Before anyone asks, the music is "Music is Happiness" by The Octopus Project.

I don't know what to do about the crashing in Beyond the Sword.

Is this a retail or Steam version? If it is retail, what is your version of Civ IV? There's a game patch for the retail version.

I downloaded it thru steam. My version for my pc didn't do this. I'm not worry that much about the crashing than I am about the graphics issue.

On the Steam Forums, lot of people are having issues and Aspyr Media, the guys who create Mac OS X ports of PC games, can't really solve it. They are still waiting for the fix from Steam or issues.

You could try reinstalling the games. I can't find the solution.

Yea it sux cause the BTS content is my favorite content. I guess I'll just stick to the main content then. Thanks for checking it out for me and helping out.

I figured out the reason why it was doing that iPod.... I had the Anti-Aliasing sample set to "2" instead of "0". That was why it was acting the way it was graphically and the crashes weren't crashes at all. The game had to restart in order to run that scenario which is completely opposite from my PC versions.....oh well, I found the answer to my issues so thanks iPod and to the Mods, you can close this tread at your discretion
