is there a list of required processes for the iphone to run properly? i'm just wondering how I can use SysInfo to my advantage and kill any processes running that aren't necessary.

Try rebooting the phone and looking at what is running. I think some programs will hang out in memory only after you run them, so these probably won't be vital. Also, I'm not an expert or anything, but I'm guessing the BT stuff is bluetooth...don't know if that's needed.
I guess most of the processes are necessary (unlike MSWindows). But I suspect that sometimes some of the necessary processes (e.g. mediaserverd) can contain threads in them that are unneeded, possibly due to firmware bugs...if these occur, I suppose the best way universal way to get rid of them is to reboot.
