anyone else notice springboard taking up 113+M of memory? How much does your springboard take up? I think I've got somewhere around 80ish apps on the phone

I've noticed using teleport lite errs out telling me low on sys resources. Right now I'm down to 2600k free of physical mem. When I run Cydia it sometimes drops down to 1000k free. Is this linked to cydias freezing problem?

You have to download it from Cydia. My Springboard is only taking up 50M

Saurik's source that's automatically added with Cydia. Just do a search for "top"

"top" is a common unix program. Its not an "app". As Eurisko said you can download it through Cydia, not sure what package its in or if its by itself.

Eurisko, how many apps do you have? I'm also running winterboard with "illuminated" (i think) theme, I wonder if the theme/winterboard are causing it to use up that much more space? I'm at 92M right now, but i've seen it as high as 132M

Hey xZinnX, I don't use Winterboard, I prefer to do my own editing. I currently have 76 Apps on the iPhone, not including the Stock Apps. As 2.0 doesn't allow more than one program to run at a time, the culprit would need to be a background task. Daemons and such. I also don't have a 3G phone, not sure if that would make a difference either.

Possibly because you've set Cydia to only show you graphical options. Go to settings and change it to developer, and it'll show up.

sorry to bring this thread back from the grave...has anyone found the reason why SB uses so much memory? I have a 3Gs with 3.1.2 fw and SB is using about 170MB!! I have no other app running and I have tried removing all selected options on winterboard leaving SB basically stock and still memory available does not go above 80MB...any suggestion?
btw: I used to have between 120-125 MB of free memory
iphone 3gs on 3.1.2, jailbroken using blackra1n and unlocked with blacksnow
