I was browsing Cydia and saw Swirly MMS. I downloaded and now need to set the MMS settings. I was wondering will it be the old settings prior 2.0 or different.

Scratch it same settings working great!!! Yay. My iphone is now the way it use to be but better.

For these settings to work, you must have multimedia messaging added to your account by AT&T. Thanks for confirming this risking!

I read somewhere that if they add this the system will just remove it. I read that they have a system that goes through and removes this from all Iphone plans each night. I also read that when it did work you would lose visual voicemail?

Is any of this true now?

ziphone is used to fake the imei, but im pretty sure its not working on 2.x firmware. so thats why i have held off from upgrading to 2.x . im sticking on 1.1.4 just for this app. And yes att does do a sweep of every account to check for iphone imei numbers. if they notice the imei number they automatically remove mms capabilities from your phone and its a pain to get it back onto your account. So unless you change the number do not get the mms app. unless your on Tmo then youll be fine.

All the settings you need for most carriers are available on the SwirlyMMS website.

It looks like it's possible to get SwirlyMMS working with AT&T and 3G iPhones after all. Read this:

But then you lose the visual voicemail. Anyway, it's pathetic what AT&T does. They deserve a class action from all iPhone users. But it won't happen, of course, it's not such a big deal like getting sick for toxins or something like that

I downloaded Swirly on my iPhone today. Tried to find mmode setting for AT&T blue (pre-cingular). After searching many sites and putting the pieces together... this combination works:

    MMSC: mmsc.mobile.attwireless.net

    Proxy: 010.250.250.054:8080

    APN: proxy

    Username: [leave blank]

    Password: [leave blank]

    Hope it works for you!

Cheers to my fellow AT&T Blue Survivors!!!!
