Are you saying that you can set the summerboard wallpaper independently from the home screen? If so, can you shed some light into how to achieve this?

Yup.. Hes right. Install the new summerboard... And simply delete the SBDockBG2.png file or replace with a transparent version. When you set your wallpaper by using the factory wallpapers, or photos it automatically inserts it in the back

your wallpapers will sync with your photos in itunes, the docks are located in var/root/Library/DockSwap or something like that.

Not going to upgrade unless we have the option of non-dimmed wallpaper. Shame, cause I'm still at 1.5 and that's a really nice feature.

Go to settings -> wallpaper -> choose a wallpaper...

It uses the same wallpaper that you have set for your unlock screen (at least it seems like it)

The desire is to have a photograph for the lock screen and a pattern for the home screen.
