hardest thing i can see is all the buttons required for those sustems. snes might not be too bad though.

Ohhh yeah... didnt even think about that... if the n64 were emulated on the iphone the entire screen would have to be buttons.

lol... the question should be "SNES... or even N64"

If anything, obviously SNES will come first. However, I think Gameboy is the next best project!

i think apple should come out, or at least another company, with basically with a controller that would wrap around the iPhone. Picture psp controls with the iPhone in the middle

no, the iphone is not powerfull enough to emulate the psp. I could see possible controls for snes, gameboy, or even sega though, maybe utilizing the accelerometers too

    from my thread - http://www.modmyi.com/forums/showthread.php?p=36645

Since the NES emulator works pretty beautifully on my iPhone, I've been thinking about other emulators that might work as well -

Stella (Atari 2600) - the 2600 should require less power to emulate and, given its one-button+joystick controls, might be easier to play with. Heck, it could even use the accelerometer to cover the control scheme, you know?

MAME (Arcade machines) - older games might work out really well, like Galaga and Tempest.

I have no development expertise at all, but I'd be absolutely happy to help test anything anyone's doing.

Thank you to everyone who works on the iPhone, enriching the content available for all of us!

Some one needs to hack the PS3 controllers bluetooth to work with the iphone and then we can have a much wider range of games ;D

I believe the iPhone is lacking the second screen required for the ds lite. It certainly would be a feat to fit another screen, six buttons, and and a contro
    l pad onto the iPhone!
