    Hi,
forgive me if this issue has been addressed before, but please appreciate that this is very active forum. To sift through would take me throught to the next life!

I've spent a bit on various applications through both Rock and Cydia. And my phone has become quite an attractive item to have on my person at all times.
So what I wonder, if and when Apple bring out a firmware in Julyish, if those clever guys jailbrake it, will I be able to update through iTunes and then gather all the brilliant things that you guys have created back onto my device?

Perhaps it's difficult to tell until we know how secure Apple make things?

There is an app called "pkgbackup" on Cydia that will backup a list of all apps you have installed via Cydia. If you ever restore you can then install pkgbackup and it will automatically restore all the apps. (It does this by gathering a list and adding it to your contacts so when you sync with your PC it stores it.
