Anyone have a link for doing it manualy? Is it as simple as SSHing into the phone? Somehow I doubt it. Also, what does installer do if it sees a more recent version it doesn't have?

    Thx

pretty much that simple... SSH in, upload NES.app to /Applications/ and set the permissions ofNES.app and its contents (.app's act as directories) to 777 (chmod +x)

you know with all these updates, they still haven't fixed one of the classics.. Contra! come on the sound emulation isn't 100% accurate and it runs somewhat slow.. anyone else have this problem? contra is probably my favorite game.

Thanks unclear, I will do so. I am assuming that Cyberduck allows permission setting. So what about Installer, will it freak out if it sees a newer version that it doesn't have? Can you still update NES through Installer, for future releases, if you add it manualy?

    Thx

well I updated to 1.7 and i'll have to say that a lot of games do run a lot smoother with the new update. contra runs much more smoothly almost at regular speed but the sound is still off with some things. great update though, highly recommended.

how are you shooting diagonal in contra????

I can't shoot diagonally in contra, I'd like to see diagonal mapping on the dpad like the A-B simultaneous mapping.

the change log stated that the diag was removed early on due to control problems

i think the diagnol option would be sweet as well. kirby doesnt work that well without it.

You know what would be AMAZING? Is if after 1.1.1 is hacked... they were able to use the TV out feature and have the video/audio on a TV screen while you use your iPhone as a controller......... Just a thought!

That is a GREAT idea!!!!! It would make alternating two-player games a lot of fun, like SMB3!
