Did you make this app? Without your post, I would have found it myself when I made my Cydia rounds. If you did make this app, Thanks. If not, you don't really deserve a pat on the back.
calm down bro, your the only one who took me asking for a thanks in a negative way. Just pointing an app that alot of people were waiting for, not all of us check cydia hourly like you. Either way, this app is great! Thank You Developer.

Works pretty darn good. Strange thing I noticed though. When I disabled an app from running in background, my mail app all of a sudden read all my mail from the server again and it showed up as having 50 unread emails.

What service do you guys have?
If I get a call while on edge. while running ANY app.. The call takes over..
That is a regular standard for Wireless data.. Calls first -> data second..

    Unless AT&T thinks otherwise..

And I did test it while running Beejive - then disabled it.
Then tried Palringo. - disabled it
And THEN tried FStream (live WMA streaming app) - all of them stopped working for the call to come through

By the way I am on rogers
I'm on AT&T and it does pick calls over data when receiving but I had issues making a call while an app that used data was in the background.

EDIT: ok so I did some testing on my own and everything works great, must have been some glitch or something earlier (I might have restarted in between)

For those of you who think that EDGE doesn't let you receive calls during apps... think about the old iPhones. They let you run apps and get calls. EDGE will let you receive calls while using the net. But once you answer that call it cuts off data. Remember, it is a phone first, PDA second

Gave you a Thanks....but for some reason it wasn't coming up. So i went to the package big boss repo and reinstalled it then it came up.....Mmmm, never had to do that before. wierd
hum..... i had to do the same. I first just tried clicking the reinstall button... but that didnt work. Uninstalled it, then quit the app then went back into cydia and installed BigBoss's Sources. Got it to update then

Does anyone know how to take the code in this thread and create a PLIST file?

I'm having an issue where my programs that are running in the background stop running without me noticing. Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: Forget what I just said, the problems spontaneously vanished which leads me to believe it was something else. I'll be giving Backgrounder another shot (it really is awesome).

No, insomnia allows the data connection to still run after you put the iPhone to sleep, this allows actual applications to still run after you exit the app, like the ipod app does.

    :edit: ok lol

Well either I have a unique issue or only one person decided to comment on it. How long will the program run? I get llike 15 minutes max on parlingo and then it dies

works great for me! im running palringo in the background. no problems.

it just keeps getting better and better. Apple's push notification can kick rocks! (although im still looking forward to it for the battery efficiency).

hope you read the comments on this app "palringo" everyone says it shares your information to 3rd parties... sounds like a scam!

Have a hard time believing that seeing as its an appstore app and they are pretty strict on removing stuff at the slightest wind of anything suspicious. I do guess it's possible though.

Nice app. I hope there will be a update with a nice gui instead of having to edit the plist file.

A big THANK YOU to the developer! For those of us using Categories this is just great. Before there was a lag opening a folder, but when Backgrounder is enabled they open instantaneously!

    Here's the set-up:
    start pandora, press/hold home
pandora keeps running, back to springboard
do something else - working great
back to pandora - immediate open
press/hold hold - bg disabled pandora EXITS

Is the app supposed to exit? I expected it to continue in the fg until the next home press.

Just an observation. Great app!! Love it - and thanks.
