Another important part of kbdallas' MobileFinder app, MobileTextEdit is an extension to MobileFinder which allows it to edit .txt files from within the iPhone. Great for on-the-fly editing of localized strings, etc.

MobileTextEdit is available via their site, iBrickr/Breezy, and Installer.

you can put them on any folder you want, and use MobileFinder to navigate to them. In finder's settings you can set it to executable, in which case you can open the .txt files right from finder.

what do you mean by syncing .txt files? iTunes doesn't support that.. you should be SSH'ing the files onto your iPhone. make a folder in /library called Texts and drag the .txt files to it?

I deleted the files in the mobile text edit window, but they still appear there. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and the list is still there? How do I get rid of files from that list window?

    Thank you!

yes, but none of the notes in this thread actually clearly answer how to get rid of old text files. I have erased them via finder but they still appear in the mobile text edit list when I select "open"

Any ideas on how to get rid of those already deleted files from the mobile text edit list?

    Thank you
