    [OLD] iDashboard 0.2 Beta Download

    What is iDashboard?

Dashboard is an application for Apple's Mac OS X operating systems, used for hosting mini-applications known as widgets. First introduced in Tiger, it is a semi-transparent layer that is invisible to the user unless activated by clicking its icon in the Dock. Alternatively, the user can invoke Dashboard by moving the cursor into a preassigned hot corner, or by pressing a hot key, both of which can be set to the user's preference.

Now it is on the iPhone and you can access it with a simple double home button click.

    If it crashes try this:

    Code:
    chmod -R 755 /Applications/Dashboard.app
    And

    Code:
    chmod +s /Applications/Dashboard.app/Dashboard

This would be sweet if it were a MS extension. Single tap home button would bring you to the dashboard page (as in a replacement for spotlight).
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream!

Wasn't working for me either but make sure that each file is set to the 755 permissions (dont just click the dashboard.app folder and set permissions go inside the folder and set permission on each.)

Apples and oranges. IS is for the lockscreen only, this is on top of Springboard.

I need to see a lot more widgets before I go down this road...but looks promising.

This is really nice. Some more widgets like weather and notes, would make this even more awesome.

Edit: Not really liking it being an app. It's not as what I thought it would be. Hoping for great updates in the near feature...

Ummm I'm really wanting to give this a shot, BUT...

    I unzipped the iDashboard.zip (I guess beta 0.2 - most recent)and Dashboard.app is not included. All is see is Calculator.app and Dashboard.theme

Can someone post up a copy of Dashboard.app please? Thanks!

If you're on Mac OS X, then for some reason it renames it to calculator.app. Don't worry, just rename it back to Dashboard.app

When I dropped it into the apps folder, it renamed it dashboard by itself.

WOW! Whole twitter is full of tweets of this app being developed by Steven Troughton Smith.. I was sure he didn't do it and researched. Finally, I landed here! @wyndwarrior, am not sure if you spread the fake news but whosoever did, that wasn't a nice publicity stunt!

BTW, the app is pretty cool anyways
