Did you know your iPhone/iPod Touch does video out? Did you know Apple wants you to pay $50 to get a cable that will play video out?

Did you know you don't need to?

There are plenty of accessories on the market that allow you to play video out with iPods, but when plugged into the iPhone, display "This accessory is unsupported by iPhone", and refuse to play video out. Or at least used to.

Resupported is a safe and cheap alternative to paying the Apple tax. It enables video out through many unsupported AV cables and devices, it does not modify system files like other attempted hacks (e.g. replacing IAPD), and it actually works!

There are plenty of low-cost AV cables on the market; if you don't already have one, order one now before the prices jump!

Here's how to tell if your cable or accessory is supported:
-Does it plug into the dock connector?
-Will audio play through it when connected to your device?
-Does it have a video output or a screen?

Resupported is available in Cydia for $1.99.

    Two questions:

    1. Does resupported definitely disable the "This accessory is not made for iPhone" popup? (This is actually what I want the app for, I don't really need the TV out functionality so much!)

    2. Does it work with iOS 4.x, as I'll be upgrading my 3GS from 3.1.3 at some point soon?
