I've just installed OS 3 with the custom ipsw file, worked fine. Now when trying to jailbreak with redsn0w I am encountering some problems at step 5, when I click to open the selected file redsn0w just crashes. What have I done wrong? By the way my modem firmware is 04.26.08 Thanks, Adam

    Step Four
Once RedSn0w opens click the Browse button
    Step Five
Select the firmware ipsw we placed in the Pwnage folder on our desktop then click Open

DFU and then use the official iPhone OS 3.0 from Apple, then jailbreak with redsn0w.

3 solutions: the 3rd one worked for me but I read that the 1st 2 have also worked for several people.

    1. Use redsnow 0.72 instead of redsnow 0.8
    2. When redsnow instructs you to put the iPhone into DFU mode by telling you which all buttons to press, keep pressing the home button, do not release it till the jailbreaking starts.
    3. Do not check the option to install icy. Check only cydia and unlock.
