    Hello community,

I'm new in the forum, because I'm new in this iPhone ecosystem.
I just bought an used iPhone 5 (6.1.4), locked to a Canadian company. I'm trying to activate, unlocked and jailbreak it, but I can't pass the first screen of activation, because I don't have the SIM card from this Canadian company.
I've already tried with redsn0w and the IPSW that correspond to my phone (iPhone5,1_6.1.4_10B350_Restore), but redsn0w doesn't work with this IPSW.
There is something else that I could do? I don't want to pay to unlock it with the IMEI, and I would rather don't have to pay to buy a Canadian sim card....

    Thanks for your time

I believe that your only options are the ones that you listed that you don't want to do.

Thank you very much for answering

Finally I bought a prepaid SIM card from the company that it was lock and I called them, and unlock the phone through them. It is the cheapest and most trustable way to do it.
