the new ads on this redesign are HORRIBLE!!!

IF I WANNA SEE AN AD, I WILL CLICK ON IT. DON'T MAKE IT TAKE OVER MY ENTIRE SCREEN AND THEN NOT GO AWAY, AFTER I CLICK THE CLOSE BUTTON!!!

worst thing you guys ever did for this site. period.

get a clue and change it.

Im not sure if they choose (ad provider or what not) but if they did, thats pretty disappointing. No reason to flame for it though.

this is a legitimate complaint. just because you label it flame, doesn't mean it therefore is one.

    just sayin...

Google chooses the ads to run.. not us. There are programs out there that will disable all the ads... for free.

The ads did not change with the redesign. If there is an ad jumping out from where it should be grab a screenie and provide the url it links and we'll get it killed off.

Also, you're a flamer with HOW you express yourself, not that you expressed yourself

    Just saying...

I'm not sure if anything in the forum has changed,
but the ad style that overlays random words with green hyperlinks (linking to ads via Vibrant) really messes with the flow of conversation, and adds confusion when the forum text already has HTML hotlinks to other sites.

I don't know if you have ANY control over these, but they seem to be much more common now since the latest MMi site upgrade. (and pretty darned irritating, IMO) Its a different irritation from misbehaving Flash applets, for sure. Probably not as big a "problem", but Vibrant ads hurt usability.

I will consider your suggestion and will likely do something about it (IE limit those to logged out users only)
