Apple does plan to include two years of free phone support with iPhone purchases, however, and an AppleCare for iPhone plan is in the works that would cover the hardware for a period of two years as well, similar to the AppleCare for iPod plan. Such a plan would not cover damage caused by the user, however, and pricing has yet to be determined for the AppleCare plan. Apple charges $59 for AppleCare for iPod, and $39 for AppleCare for iPod nano

Similar to the Razr's release IIRC, homeowner's/renters insurance was a viable option too though It looks like this is going to be the largest electronics release in history, nice to see anti fraud measures in place already

    Well said.

Would really like Apple Care for iPhone though.

Anyone know what the costs for the AppleCare coverage for the iPhone might be, my guess is $69.

I am curious about this company. If legit, it may be a great investment.

I was not going to unless things seemed really on the up and up on the reply and I could talk to someone. Tough to find coverage for phones outside the provider.

I use my home owners insurance to cover losses/accidents. I can provide #s next week to how much it costs, right now it covers another $500-600 phone plus my MacBook Pro for ~$120 a year. This is a special rider that allows me to have it covered outside of the house, since both leave me with daily.

I'll also pick up the AppleCare within a year (you have a one year window to activate it) to ensure it's covered warranty wise as well.

AppleCare on my MacBookPro proved useful already, got a brand new (and crisper!) LCD after a LCD leak spot appeared on it right after the year mark.

Seeing apple care is available now. Why can I have it in CT? I bought it online and was refunded saying unavailable in ct. I called for it and they would still not tell me anything. I have no clue as to what to do with this now.
