i installed the patch via Cydia and i also installed the Open SSh, but i don't have a mac so i'm not sure how to install the files from the bundle. i downloaded this one: T-Mobile US iOS 4.1 v1.2.0.

Spooky -- I think your website/blog is down. I have a 3GS with 3.1.3 FW. Any suggestions? I've tried looking at many website, but it may be easier to go your route. Where can I download the appropriate file for my phone?

    Iphone 4 01.59 5.0.1 untethered. tmobile tzone
facetime, tethering, internet, bluetooth, work without any modifications to commcenter. just had to add cellular settings info.
I couldn't receive mms pictures because of the "picture size restriction error" message. although i sent pictures fine.

in ios5, apple changed the commcenter name to commcenterclassic so a new patch is needed.
i found the patch on this repo: Cydia Repository
    patch is called: CommCenterClassicPatch

install that, rebooted the phone. uploaded the ipcc 4.3 tmobile-tzone bundle via itunes, and my mms works perfectly.

Could you please explain the process more clearly? I'm planning on updating my iphone 4 to ios 5.0.1 while preserving my baseband but I will only do it if I can keep my mms and facetime. Is this the solution? I don't know what the ipcc 4.3 tmobile-tzone bundle is. Thank you, Happy New Year!!!

The OP (SpookyET) hosted carrier bundle files on his web site but his site doesn't seem to work anymore.
ill host them on my web server:

this thread is about carrier bundles to make all the features work.

    for ios5.0.1
    jailbreak first (of course)
add Cydia Repository and install commcenterclassic
Reboot the phone and plug it into itunes. then unzip the file im hosting.
select the right bundle for your service. Mine happens to be T-Zone ipcc.
in order to upload the bundles, you have to make itunes support this options. you can google "ipcc itunes support" and find a few links.
here's one: iClarified - iPhone - How to Enable Carrier Bundle Support in iTunes 8.2 (Windows)
After that, just press and hold Shift (pc) or Alt (mac) and click on Restore, and select the bundle of your choice and it will upload it to your phone.

reboot your phone and test out your features. I've done this to a 3gs and ip4. works great.

Facetime, tethering, internet, bluetooth, works without this method. it seems like ios5 works right out of the box with tmobile. only reason i did the ipcc upload is to get mms to work.

Thanks nrgonline, worked like a charm. Do you know if we can uninstall the patch and all the extra stuff it downloaded in Cydia and still have it work?

Hey thank you for the quick response. Once more question, I don't know which bundle to pick. I have a regular unlimited data plan with T-Mobile. What .ipcc file should I upload into my phone? Thanks

i'd suggest using legacy ipcc. i'm using unlimited tzone 5.99 plan on my plan. i'm not sure on the differences, i didnt make the fill; the OP did. maybe scroll back a few pages to find the right answer. =)

I did everything, I uploaded legacy, it didn't work. I did standard as well and it didn't work either. Am I allowed to just keep uploading new ones? And what should the Cellular Data settings be?

after you upload the ipcc, go to settings>>general then go to reset and hit "reset network settings"

you really dont need to add anything to the network settings. the ipcc file does that already after it reboots.

Hey man thank you so much for all the help and support. Other people would have given up on the help and gotten lazy but you helped me out a lot. It worked on my 3GS and later I'm going to try it on my iPhone 4 to update to ios 5.0.1. Cheers
