    ok first off im not a noob ive bin around since the 2g 1.1.4released. that being said ive done all the tricks out there about this 1600, 1601, 1604, errors on itunes i ive also tried on a mac to restore my 3.0fw

    here is what happens after extracting software on itunes there is that step where it saying restarting iphone or something well that happens my screen turns white and iphone dissconnects from computer and does not connect back i can only see iphone on DFU mode not in the restore mode. i have given up unless someone here can help me with this problem.

    im looking to get a 3G but im happy with my 2G if i can get it fixed please help me

    Sounds like the battery is dead, unless you can replace that yourself it would probably be more cost effective to sell the 2g as it is and purchase a 3g.

    So, I'm assuming this happened while you were upgrading/downgrading your firmware. Have you tried placing your phone in DFU Mode before unpacking the .ipsw?

    I used a program called "iH8sn0w" to get into recovery mode. There's also a button in there that fixes the recovery mode loop. Download it, and fool around, see if that helps any. Need more details, though, to be able to help you out further!
