SO I have T-Mobile and I heard that ATT bought T-mobile. Is it worth it to buy an iphone 4 right now? OR will T-Mobile have the iphone 4 next year? Thanks

If the deal goes through they'll probably have it next year. If you want a new phone now I'd get the g2x

^Dude, this is an iDevice forum. Get an iPhone, pony up an buy a factory unlocked on from Canada, they even have refurbs you can buy at a pretty good price now.
The word I read is the takeover should happen about the end of the year, so it would depend if your up for a new phone in your existing contract.
I have read that we will be grandfathered in at our rate plans, well, till they figure out how to charge up more, and they will, trust me.

The problem is tho jot everyone can afford the factory unlocked ones. That's the only reason I suggest it. Probably the only phone that can half compete with the iphone

Nope it cant and actually like cadi said a refurbished iphone 4 from canada isnt that bad really and it will have a high resell value so no worries about that either

I've seen jailbroken and software unlocked 3Gs's is good condition go for as high as $500.00 plus dollars, Here you can but a factory unlocked 3Gs referb for $549, and prolly sell it for close to $650 or $700 when your done playing with it and never have to worry about chasing an unlock, again ever. Or bite the bullet and get the ip4, but my suggestion on that is to see if they to see if Apple releases the ip5 in late June or July.

It's almost half a year before we find out if AT&T is approved to get T-Mobile. Perhaps sign up for a 1 year contract then? I think carriers still offer that, yes? Of course the phone will cost a bit more.

But you'll make it back by selling. Plus the contract will end sooner so you can make your next move sooner.
