Hi everyone,

I could use your advice on how to about activating and unlocking a recently purchased (assumed to be v1.1.1) iPhone.

For my brother's v1.02 phone I used the tutorial for OSX on this site. The instructions were great.

But now for my own iPhone, I don't know how to go about unlocking / activating it. Is it even possible to unlock an 1.1.1 phone? Are there steps outlined somewhere I can use?

Sorry, I know this must be painful to those of you who are adept at this kind of stuff - any help is much appreciated!

Thanks for your reply. I have not had success in answering my question, despite searching the web. I'm probably looking over something, but I can't seem to find out how to do an easy unlock / activation on a V 1.1.1 iphone.

Any help is appreciated.
