    Hi all,

I have an unlocked Iphone bought in NY that seems to be beyond any home software repair... And i live out of the US.

I was thinking about having Apple fix it (and paying for the repair). I called in and the guy was not very clear about the procedure but the conclusion was :

You send it in (i assume in the apple shop) and we fix it, it should cost you 249$ + shipping....

Anyone gone thru this before? any hints to give?

    Cheers,

Apple has made it clear they will not service an iPhone which does not belong to a legitimate AT&T contract. (for those bought through the states).

Was it an Apple rep you were talking to?
