    Hi,
i have not yet purchased an iphone, but i was thinking of purchasing it of someone i knew, not from the store. i am already on o2, so i could just switch over the sim card which would not be a problem, but the phone that i would purchase would be unlocked. i already know how to bypass the activation that is not a problem, but i want to eliminate the risk of getting my iphone bricked.
i had an idea of restoring it to its factory condition, then the unlocked software would be deleted, then bypass the activation, and then i could upgrade the firmware through itunes with no problems, and no risk of it getting bricked, but would all of this work?

    thanks in advance,

    Avez

Even the biggest idiot can't brick an iphone, you're safe.
