So i have an iPhone 3GS on 3.1.3 that is unlocked to t-mobile. I want to upgrade it to 5.1 and keep the unlock. i already know how to preserve the baseband using pwn tool. my question is since ultrasnow has yet to be updated someone has released ultrasnow fixer... i have only found a few success stories with it and i was wondering if anyone else has used it and successfully unlocked?
    repo is Repo

You are relying on unlock so you should fall back one step as a precaution and only update to 5.0.1.

Are the blobs enough? Don't you need the APTicket as well?

Blobs are enough.. Pull them using TinyUmbrella.

Blobs certainly can't be pulled now with TinyUmbrella, because Apple has stopped signing 5.0.1. Furthermore, AFAIK, saved blobs are not enough as of iOS 5; the APTicket must also be saved (and "stitched" with the firmware?).

I'm also looking for confirmation that the ultrasn0w fixer works, as I'd like to upgrade to 5.1.

You use TU to pull the shsh from cydia server if your already jailbroken for starters... Seeing as Cydia does save them, also Cydia saves the aptickets as well, though when 5.0 first came out, it wasn't able to for a short period when it first was released.

Stitching... Yes, meaning that it doesn't need to get a reply from apple servers.

That's the idea of it is going to that firmware and saving the blobs an then either stay there or downgrade back.
