I know in the past Verizon and sprint blocked ESN numbers for lost/stolen phones, but have never ran into that issue with AT&T blocking an IMEI. I picked up an aTT iPhone with what the seller claimed to be a bad IMEI number, which I assumed means it cannot be activated for AT&T. Does anyone know anything about this? Could I unlock the phone with a gevey and use it for t mobile or another carrier?is it possible to have a bad IMEI number on a GSM phone? I can't find anything on the topic online so I'm
Hoping somebody on here might know more about the subject.
