When I try to upload the files to usr/bin (Transmit) I get: "couldn't get remote handle".
Tried with Fugu and get the same.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

what do you mean you used a jailbreak you used the program again and instead of going back to jail you just left it opened?

I get the same error when trying to connect with FUGU:
"@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @"

When I use Transmit I get a "Permission Denied" error

When I use the Customize tab in iNdependence I get:
"FAILED! Couldn't connect to SSH server. Ensure IP address is correct, phone is connected to a network, and SSH is installed correctly."

This is the fourth time I have run through the entire process of trying to unlock my iPhone and am at a loss of what to do next.

Here is the history of what I have done to date. Please note the first time I tried I was able to connect to the iPhone and move files back and forth. It was when I hit Step 5 of the How to software unlock iPhone iUnlock that I got stuck, please see details below.

    So far I have:
    - quadruple check my IP address
    - tried to say ok to the error and proceed, but I am not connected
    - returned the phone to jail, jailbroke and tried again
    - returned the phone to jail, jailbroke it and returned to jail and tried again
    - preformed multiple Restores in iTunes and repeated the whole process 3 times. Note: I received a "iTunes could not connect to iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000025)" error, but when I Restored again I did not receive this message.

The first time I went through the process I succefully made it through the SFTP tutorial and Step 4 of the How to software unlock iPhone iUnlock tutorial receiving the following results in Terminal:
    95%
    95%
    95%
    Sending End Secpack command
    Validating the write command
    FW are equal!
    Completed.
    Enjoy!
    -sh-3.2#
    -sh-3.2#

When I got to Step 5, I hit a wall receiving these results:

During Step 5 I did some more research into the "Be sure to have the BSD Subsystem and Open SSH installed on your iPhone before performing this step" and attempted to install AppTapp. During the process I received and "Abort" error, can't remember which app, and lost my connection to the iPhone. Ever since this point I have not been able to use SSH.

I am thinking something must have happened in the Terminal during Step 5 that changed a file/info on the iphone that the Restore function in iTunes can't replace.

I have spent 14 hours trying to get this bugger to work and can't think of anything else to try. If anyone has a suggestion I would greatly appreciate the help. Please give me good instructions as I am not the technical.

    I am using:
    - Mac PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4.10
    - iNdependence 1.1.1, can't get 1.2 to work

This message is an update to the one above "Can't Use SSH"

I just ried connecting to my iPhone using Terminal and received the following result:
Last login: Thu Sep 13 10:43:45 on console

I have no idea what this means, but it doesn't sound good.

THANKS! CyberDuck saved my butt. I am at the waiting 20 minute stage...

I am still worried I cannot connect using Transmit of Fugu. Something bad must have happened when I received that Abort error and I would like to figure out what happened, any thoughts? I am also worried that it may affect me down the road.

Anyway, thanks again... I can't wait to make my first call... 12 minutes to go... Wahoo!

Did you already install BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH from Installer.app or iBrickr before running either CyberDuck or Fugu?

In CyberDuck, are you making sure to use the SFTP protocol, NOT the FTP one?
