Hmm. You may need to restore.

Then everything is already done. Your contacts are in Address Book, your appointments in iCal, your songs in iTunes, your photos in iPhoto. Just make sure you sync once before you restore. Simple as that.

The only thing you'll lose is your SMS.

I'm having the same problem, however, my terminal looks like so:

    Waiting for phone... established.
    iPhone state: Activated
    type "help" for help
    iPhone:/# ls
    .
    ..
    Photos
    Services.plist
    com.apple.itunes.lock_sync
    fstab
    iTunes_Control
    iPhone:/#

    suggestions?

Same solution. Looks like you didn't put that Services.plist back in the right place.

Your Services.plist should look like this:

I am having a similar issue where once I hold in the two buttons for 25 seconds it says Sending More Files..... and then on the next line it says "Illegal Instruction" and takes me back to my original command prompt.

I am using OSX by the way.

This guide is outdated now. You can simply replace the file using drag and drop with SFTP. See the guides, will update this tutorial soon.

I am having problems with changing the ATT also. I have two files and I am putting them in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app the files are names
    Default_CARRIER_ATT
    FSO_CARRIER_ATT
I put them in that folder but is does not work. Is there something I need to delete or something that I am missing? Thanks
