Over at they give very detailed instructions on how to change your system icons on the homescreen and that the directions work for intel macs and Windows XP/Vista. I've spent hours doing it a little different from the next but when i restart my phone the same icons remain. Has anyone been successful doing this with a Windows machine. Thanks

Thanks poetic, i guess with the frustration of not getting it to work for me I was impatient and didn't look around for it.

P.S. In the Wiki section can you add the directions for Windows? I actually looked there once and the only directions are for OSX. I had to look in the skinning thread to find it. Just a suggestion but Thanks Again!

What did you wind up doingto get this to work? I've been digging around the Wiki with little luck. I'm on Windows XP and I've been able to successfully add ringtones and other sounds, so I know the file transfers are not the problem.

the problem with the hacktheiphone one is it tells you what directory the icons are in, but then it just states to type in "Putfile /icon.png" you actually need to type in putfile /(directory you want)/icon.png

Depends on the version of iphoneinterface you have. 0.3.1 makes you cd to the directory AND input the full path you want to putfile to, whereas 0.3.3 only makes you do one of the two.
