I have thoroughly modded my iPhone with 100% easy success. However, even after it appears that I have successfully loaded the 17 battery images into cd /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app , it never shows up after the restart. Here is what I did after entering iphoneinterface:

    cd /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app
    putfile BatteryBG_1.png
    putfile BatteryBG_2.png
    putfile BatteryBG_3.png
    putfile BatteryBG_4.png
    putfile BatteryBG_5.png
    putfile BatteryBG_6.png
    putfile BatteryBG_7.png
    putfile BatteryBG_8.png
    putfile BatteryBG_9.png
    putfile BatteryBG_10.png
    putfile BatteryBG_11.png
    putfile BatteryBG_12.png
    putfile BatteryBG_13.png
    putfile BatteryBG_14.png
    putfile BatteryBG_15.png
    putfile BatteryBG_16.png
    putfile BatteryBG_17.png
    quit

    I also tried

    putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_1.png
...and so on down to 17.

    YET...nothing works!!!

    Any ideas?? Thanks.

Just figured it out...I forgot to remove the stock images before uploading the new ones. :-)

Reset permssions on all files you want to mod to 0777.
