Did you properly ground yourself? did you touch the needles to the board with a completed circuit? What was the voltage through the needles at the time?

I've unlocked 6 phones with no issues. One with the solder method, and the rest with the needle. The precautions I take prior to attempting any hardware mod is:
    • first find a clean non conductive surface
    • ground self (use wrist grounds, touch metal to discharge)
    • ensure needle voltage is ~1.6-1.8v
    • disable circuit at needle prior to contact with the board (turn the switch off)

The rest should be cake. It sounds like a good number of ppl attempting this mod are losing wifi. Hopfully this can be mitigated by following my suggested steps.

dude, exactly the same happened to me last night. I spent a few hours trying to restore it, but nothing.
I even called Apple, but their solution was "connect and restore"... if it didn't work send the phone in.

I'll keep looking for a solution and will post it in here if I find one... PLEASE do the same
